IPTV Reseller Credits Explained — How the Credit System Works

How IPTV credits work. Tiers, cost-per-month calculations, bulk discounts, and strategies for managing your credit balance.

What Are IPTV Credits?

Credits are the currency of IPTV reselling. You buy credits in bulk from your IPTV provider and use them to activate subscriptions for your customers. The more you buy at once, the cheaper each credit becomes — this tiered pricing structure rewards volume and is the primary way you increase your profit margins as your business grows.

A 24-hour free trial costs zero credits, so you can offer trials to prospective customers at no cost to you. Every paid subscription deducts credits based on duration and connection type.

Credits Breakdown

Credits are charged based on subscription duration and connection type. Here is exactly what each plan costs:

PlanCredits Used
1 Month1 Credit
1 Month Multiroom1.5 Credits
1 Month Triple Room2 Credits
3 Months2 Credits
3 Months Multiroom3 Credits
3 Months Triple Room4 Credits
6 Months3 Credits
6 Months Multiroom4 Credits
6 Months Triple Room5 Credits
12 Months4 Credits
12 Months Multiroom6 Credits
12 Months Triple Room8 Credits

Notice that 3-month plans cost only 2 credits instead of 3 — this is built-in savings for your customers and a smart way to reduce monthly admin for you. Selling longer plans means fewer renewals to manage and guaranteed income upfront.

Credit Tiers Explained

You buy credits in bulk packs. Here are the available packages:

PackagePriceCreditsSub-Reseller
Starter£10016 CreditsNo
Growth£30070 CreditsNo
Pro£500150 CreditsYes
Elite£750230 CreditsNo
Enterprise£1,000400 CreditsNo

Note that the Pro package at £500 is the only tier that includes Sub-Reseller access — meaning you can create and manage reseller accounts under your own panel. All other tiers are Pay As You Go.

How Many Credits Do You Actually Need?

Here is a practical calculation. If you have 30 active customers all on 1-month standard plans, you need 30 credits per month. However, if some are on 3-month plans (2 credits each) or multiroom connections (1.5 credits each), your actual credit usage per activation changes. Track your mix of plan types carefully so you always buy the right amount.

As your customer base grows, you naturally buy larger credit packs less frequently — each step up in tier means more credits per pound spent. Always keep a buffer of at least 10–15 credits so you never run out mid-renewal.

When to Buy More Credits

Do not wait until your balance hits zero. Running out of credits means you cannot activate new customers or process renewals — and a customer who tries to renew and cannot will find another provider within 24 hours. Set a mental alert when your balance drops below 15 credits. This gives you enough runway to serve customers while you top up.

Some resellers pre-sell longer subscriptions (3, 6, or 12 months) specifically to collect larger payments upfront, which they then use to buy bigger credit packs. A customer pays 60 pounds for a year, you immediately use that payment to top up at a better tier. Smart cash flow management.
