XCIPTV Player — Setup Guide and Review
XCIPTV offers native Smart TV support on Samsung and LG alongside Android. Full setup guide with Xtream Codes and M3U configuration.
XCIPTV — Smart TV Native Support
XCIPTV stands out from other IPTV players with one notable feature: native support for Samsung Tizen and LG webOS Smart TVs alongside standard Android support. Most IPTV apps (TiviMate, Smarters Pro, Perfect Player) only work on Android-based devices, forcing Samsung and LG TV owners to use a Firestick or limited alternatives. XCIPTV fills this gap with a genuine Smart TV application.
Supported Devices
- Samsung Smart TVs running Tizen OS (2017 and newer)
- LG Smart TVs running webOS (2018 and newer)
- Android TV devices (all models)
- Amazon Firestick (via sideloading)
Installation
On Samsung / LG Smart TVs
Open your TV's app store (Samsung App Store or LG Content Store). Search for “XCIPTV”. If available, install it directly. Availability can vary by region — if the app is not listed, try searching for “XC IPTV” or check the full app catalogue rather than just the featured section.
On Android / Firestick
Install from the Google Play Store on Android TV, or sideload via Downloader on Firestick using the same process as other IPTV apps.
Adding Your Subscription
XCIPTV supports both Xtream Codes and M3U login. Open the app, select your login method, and enter your credentials. The Xtream Codes option enables full feature access including EPG, VOD, and series sections. The M3U option works for basic live channel viewing.
Interface and Features
XCIPTV has a clean, grid-based interface that works well with TV remotes. Channels are organised by the groups defined in your playlist. The EPG is functional with a horizontal timeline layout. Channel switching speed is acceptable though not as fast as TiviMate on Android devices. The Smart TV version performs well considering the hardware limitations of TV processors compared to dedicated streaming devices.
Limitations
XCIPTV lacks some features found in TiviMate — no recording, limited catch-up support, and fewer customisation options. The app can also be less stable than established players, with occasional crashes reported on older Samsung models. Despite these limitations, it remains one of the only viable options for native Smart TV IPTV without additional hardware.
