OTT Navigator IPTV — Advanced Setup Guide
OTT Navigator is the power user IPTV player. Advanced playlist management, custom EPG, recording, and deep customisation options.
OTT Navigator for Power Users
OTT Navigator is the most customisable IPTV player available on Android. It supports multiple playlist formats (M3U, Xtream Codes, Stalker Portal), multiple EPG sources simultaneously, advanced recording with scheduling, custom channel sorting algorithms, and granular codec configuration. This level of control comes at the cost of a steeper learning curve — setup takes 15 to 20 minutes versus 5 minutes for Smarters Pro.
Who Should Use OTT Navigator
Choose OTT Navigator if you manage multiple IPTV subscriptions and want to combine them into a single unified channel list, need to use custom EPG XML sources from third-party providers, want scheduled recording with series-link functionality, or prefer to manually control which video codec and decoder is used for specific channels.
Installation and Setup
Install from the Google Play Store on Android TV devices or sideload via Downloader on Firestick. Open the app and select Add Provider. Choose your connection type — Xtream Codes, M3U URL, or Stalker Portal. Enter your credentials and let the playlist load. OTT Navigator will analyse your playlist structure and present an initial channel layout.
Advanced EPG Configuration
OTT Navigator supports multiple EPG sources simultaneously. Go to Settings, then EPG, and add your EPG XML URL. You can add additional third-party EPG sources to supplement your provider's data — this is useful when your provider's EPG is missing data for certain channels. The app merges data from all sources and prioritises the most complete information for each channel.
Custom Channel Organisation
Unlike other players where you are limited to your provider's channel groups, OTT Navigator lets you create completely custom channel organisations. Create your own groups, drag channels between them, set display order, and even create smart groups based on channel metadata. You can build a “Saturday Football” group containing just the channels showing matches that day.
Multi-Provider Playlist Merging
If you subscribe to two IPTV services, OTT Navigator can merge both playlists into a single unified channel list. It detects duplicate channels and lets you choose which provider's stream to use for each channel, or set up automatic failover so if one provider's stream buffers, it automatically switches to the other.
